Wow, what a four days! These are some of the words/ phrases that came to my mind over the period: marvelous, exciting, nostagia, uplifting, spiritual, ennergising, bouyant, thankfulness (for parents and teachers), we didn't turn out too badly, new commitment and purpose, timely, we just picked up where we left off, story telling is a wonderful skill, 'successful' has many faces and definitions. Thanks to those from our class who made it to Mandeville for one or all of the events. The bad weather (it rained for most of the visit) did not dampen spirits. Photo shows those who attended the banquet on Saturday evening. Others in attendance at the various functions were - Carol Reid (church); Vivia Swaby, Osric Stephenson, and Evan Duggan (meet and greet/mix and mingle), Afeef Lazarus (banquet). In all, 22 classmates were present. Friends from other years included - Garth Bolton, Elaine Swaby, Jennifer Mattar, Shirley Deans. Teachers in attendance at the banquet - Mr Goodin, Mrs. Hall-Birthwright.
We missed those of you who were not able to be here. Gerry, your ears must have been ringing. We called your name over and over.
But even as we celebrated we had in our thoughts parents of the following classmates who are not doing well: Gene Marshall (mother), Pat Hall (mother), Sandra Smith (father). We also learned of Gerry's health concerns and the health concerns of Canute McDaniel who is scheduled to have surgery this week. Let's remember them all in our prayers/ meditations. Send them positive energy.
'Sic luceat lux'. The light of MHS continues to shine.
